The active ingredients are derived from compounds which certain plants in nature have evolved to discourage browsing mammals. As these compounds are odourless, an odour has been included in PossomShot so the possums can learn to associate it with inedible material.
PossomShot needs to be applied to every second or third leaf of the plant you want protected. Once treated, PossomShot will protect the plant for several months and all that will be required will be the occasional reapplication to new growth.
